Success! How Iya Villania potty trains her babies

Potty training is a big step for kids and their parents. What's her secret to success?

Most mothers greatly anticipate—and then struggle with—getting their toddlers out of diapers. But for celebrity Iya Villania and her daughter Alana, the process was a much happier one.

On Instagram, Villania gave tips on how moms could potty train their babies, sharing a photo of her four-month-old child on the toilet early in the morning.

“This baby girl has been waking up at 4:30 a.m. to go to the toilet, then goes back down to sleep at 5:30 a.m.,” the mom-of-three wrote.

The host said she would normally feed Alana back to sleep but when she noticed that her daughter unlatches and starts to kick around, then she figured that “it must be the cue that she needs to go poop.”

’“Have you guys tried sitting your baby on the toilet? It’s crazy! You’ll be surprised!” she said. “It’s almost so natural for them to poo in the toilet! It must be the pooping position.”

Villania advised parents to let their child's motivation, instead of their eagerness, lead the process.

“Take them when you know they normally poop like in the morning or before bath time, and then make it a routine!” she ended.
