The Diocese of Cubao’s Lay Formation Ministry and Social Communications Ministry will hold an online Advent recollection on December 5 at 8 a.m.
With the theme “Santatlo ng Cubao: Nagsusulong sa Pakikipag-isa, Misyon at Pagbabalik-loob tungo sa ika-500 taon ng Kristiyamismo sa Pilipinas,” the recollection aims to prepare the faithful for the observance of the anniversary of the 500th year of Christianity in the country next year.
Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco said, it is important for the faithful to be in solidarity and be united in prayer, reflection, and response to the needs of others amid the pandemic.
“Despite the crisis, the Diocese of Cubao hopes that we all be united in prayer and in responding to the needs of others who were affected by the pandemic as we prepare for the observance of the 500th year of Christianity in the country in 2021. Let us be one in reflection and in prayer even online,” Ongtioco saif over Radio Veritas.
The online Advent recollection will have Ms. Lisa Reyes and Fr. Domie Guzman, SSP as speakers. A Holy Mass will be celebrated before the recollection which will be streamed live through the Facebook page and YouTube Channel of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao.
“I am hoping that through this recollection, despite the lack of physical attendance, the faithful will be able to deepen and strengthen their faith as we prepare for Christmas and the 500th year of Christianity in the country,” Ongtioco said.
