BOC consistently surpassing target collection


Despite the effects of the COVID-19 crisis, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) surpassed its target collection for the sixth consecutive month.

The November collection increased by 5.85 percent or P2.47 billion, bringing the total collection to P44.691 billion against its P42.221 billion target.

Based on the report of the Financial Service, the Revenue Collection and Monitoring Group (RCMG) continues to highlight the Bureau's consistent and positive monthly collection for the sixth month since June 2020 despite the pandemic.

The preliminary report said twelve of the seventeen collection districts hit their target for the month, namely: Port of Manila, Port of NAIA, Port of Batangas, Port of Cebu, Port of Tacloban, Port of Surigao, Port of Cagayan De Oro, Port of Zamboanga, Port of Davao, Port of Subic, Port of Clark, and Port of Aparri.

To date, the BOC collected P493.324 billion since January reflecting the 97.47 percent of the 2020 target collection of P506.150 billion.
