In a report, no new COVID-19 fatality was reported among Filipinos abroad on the first day of December.

To date, the Middle East and Africa are still the regions with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities among overseas Filipinos.

The Americas, meanwhile, has the least numbers in all categories compared to other geographic regions, except in the total number of deaths, wherein Asia and the Pacific rank lowest with a total of only nine.

On the government’s continuing repatriation of those affected by the pandemic, hundreds more distressed and stranded overseas Filipino nationals were flown back to Manila towards the closing of November 2020 from countries in Asia and the Pacific, and the Middle East.

During the weekend, the DFA recorded the repatriation flights of Filipinos from Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait with a total of 804 onboard; Turkey, 198; 231 from South Korea and Japan, and five from Malaysia.
