This was after Sinas released General Order 2020-2869, designating Miranda as the new director of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) effective Tuesday, December 1.

Sinas’ order also stated that outgoing PRO-6 director Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan will be transferred to the PNP Directorate for Plans.

Pamuspusan has been the police chief in the region, which is comprised of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces, as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod, for more than a year.

PRO-6 Spokesperson Lt. Col. Joem Malong said Pamuspusan will assume the post as PNP’s Deputy Director of the Directorate for Plans at Camp Crame, the PNP national headquarters.

A member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1988, Pamuspusan took the helm as PRO-6 regional director on June 27, 2019, replacing then brigadier general John Bulalacao, who has retired from the uniform service.

Meanwhile, Malong said that turnover ceremony command has been tentatively scheduled on Wednesday, December 2.
