Here's why Michele Gumabao was absent during MUP 2020 winners' 'ASAP Natin 'To' appearance

Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) 2020 2nd runner-up Michele Gumabao has a reason for not joining the other beauty queen title holders during a recent TV appearance.

It was a few days ago when Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo along with 1st runner-up Maria Ysabella Ysmael, 3rd runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, and 4th runner-up Kimberly Hakenson, appeared as guests on "ASAP Natin 'To."

Fans wondered why the 28-year-old athlete-turned-beauty queen was not there.

Michelle said she was simply too busy helping those devastated by typhoon Ulysses in Isabela.

She said: "Our goods were scheduled to be brought to Isabela and distributed by volunteers...due to multiple relief operations, kahit negative ako sa swab, my handler and the show decided for the safety of everyone (na) hindi ako kasama because of the exposure from my relief operations."

She's not worried with insinuation she deliberately snubbed the event, much like what she did missing the photo op after their win in Baguio City.

"Sanay na ako sa Mga issues on social media and I said before basta ako Lang i-bash ninyo okay Lang. But when it involves our organization I have to clear this up because so many people trusted and donated their hard earned money for the victims of typhoon Ulysses and I will personally see our operations through!"

She added, "If you have any questions with attendance you can ask those who invite us on their programs and kung gusto niyo ako makita sumayaw sa TV manuod Kasi kayo ng 'Wowowin' every Friday, Baka kumanta pa ako dun!"
