The district office, which features a one-stop-shop complex, sits on a sprawling 1.3 hectare lot in Barangay Valladolid, Carcar City, southern Cebu.

LTO-7 regional director Victor Caindec said the facility was constructed at no cost to the government after private proponent RoadReady built the one-stop-shop complex via public private partnership (PPP).

RoadReady will offer one-stop-shop services such as motor vehicle inspection for registration renewal, processing of motor vehicle insurance, medical examination, drug testing, driving proficiency test, and practical driving test, among others.

Caindec said the one-stop-shop facility will discourage vehicle owners from dealing with fixers.

To ensure that health protocols will be observed, the district office will only accommodate up to 200 clients per day.

The facility will be operational in the first week of December.

“We are thankful to RoadReady for its partnership with LTO-7 especially in developing the complex,” said Caindec.

Jay Bautista, managing director of RoadReady, said it cost the firm P90 million to construct the facilities. Including land acquisition, the complex is worth P126 million.

A private driving school will also open at the complex as RoadReady is already in its second phase of the site's development.

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia graced the inauguration and described the district office as an "ultra modern, beautiful building."

"I would like to salute Vic Caindec, our regional director. Truly, with his dedicated and dynamic leadership, he has brought government services, particularly LTO services, closer to the people," said Garcia.
