Pasig River Ferry resumes operations

The Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) resumed operation on Wednesday after completing pontoons repairs after the onslaught of Typhoon "Ulysses."

In a statement, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said operational stations are Pinagbuhatan in Pasig; Guadalupe in Makati; Hulo in Mandaluyong; and Lambingan, Sta. Ana, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Escolta, and Lawton in Manila.

Ferry stations will operate from Monday to Saturday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For the safety of the passengers against COVID-19, the PRFS is implementing health and safety protocols, such as wearing of face shield and face mask, temperature check, and observing of physical distancing inside the ferry stations and boats.

Passengers must also fill out a manifest form and commuter information sheet before boarding.

The MMDA suspended operations of the ferry service as pontoons on several stations were damaged after Typhoon "Ulysses" struck Metro Manila on Nov. 12.
