PROCOR conducts relief operations in Cagayan


CAMP DANGWA,Benguet  – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera has sent an additional contingent to aid in the outreach and humanitarian efforts in the province of Cagayan.

Police Brig. Gen.R'win Pagkalinawan, regional director, said the relief operations benefited 950 individuals and 445 families. The PROCOR contingent was able to distribute a total of 1,000 bottles of 1L mineral water, 45 sacks of rice, 14 boxes of canned goods, 3 boxes of noodles, and one balikbayan box containing assorted clothes and other assorted packed relief goods. 

Pagkalinawan said these goods were donated by the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Montessori, Inc, Japan Tobacco Inc, Saint William’s Academy, Kalinga State University, and other kindhearted private individuals. 
Combined forces from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, Regional Logistics and Research Development Division (RLRDD), Kalinga Police Provincial Office, and Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company have incessantly worked with other government agencies and civilian volunteers to ensure that these relief goods will be distributed and reach the most affected victims.

He said a medical team from the Regional Health Service was tapped and has helped at least 561 patients who availed of medical assessment and consultation. 

Also distributed were 108 pieces of Paracetamol for kids and other assorted medicines.

PROCOR said it will continue to provide help in the delivery and distribution of relief goods to families affected by Typhoon “Ulysses” in Cagayan Valley.
