SMART CLARK GIGA CITY--The Christmas season grew brighter here inside the PBA Philippine Cup bubble as league commissioner Willie Marcial and Quest Hotel general manager Michael Gapin spearheaded the Christmas Lighting Event at the main lobby on Thursday night.

Players and coaches from semifinalists Ginebra, Phoenix and Meralco attended the short yet lively program with only TNT not present due to a scheduled practice.

The eliminated teams were still present in the event through the recorded video where players including NLEX's Kiefer Ravena, Rain or Shine's Beau Belga and Alaska's Vic Manuel are singing Apo Hiking Society's hit Christmas song Tuloy Na Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko.

In his opening message, Marcial thanked the Quest Hotel employees for their service for the remaining of the 350-strong delegates.

"Maraming salamat po sa mga staff, sa mga tao ng Quest, sa patuloy na serbisyo niyo sa amin," said the PBA chief. Pasensya na po kayo sa kakulitan namin at madaling araw na kayo nakakatulog," he added in jest.

Gapin and executive assistant manager Mabel Roman also delivered short messages expressing gratitude to the PBA.

The event brought the spirited Yuletide atmosphere in the bubble as the remaining delegates continue to cope up with being away with their families.

Fortunately, they will be in time for the Christmas with the league lasting until December 13 at the latest.
