Justic League fans rejoice, Snyder promises more Superman and Darkseid in new trailer

Controversy after controversy hounded the theatrical release of DC’s Justice League in 2017. An effort has been made to right past wrongs when DC and Warner Bros. finally agreed to put Zack Snyder back at the helm of the project he originally led, after having been unceremoniously replaced by Joss Whedon.

As was released at the DC FanDome event on August, fans are finally going to see the so-called “Snyder cut” of the Justice League film sometime in 2021 (presumably mid-year). Re-shoots are ongoing as several cast members have been called back for additional scenes.

And just late last night (early Tuesday morning in the US), Snyder posted on Twitter a new trailer for his version of the Justice League

Set to “Hallelujah”—Snyder’s song of choice—the new trailer adds additional scenes to the teaser released at the DC FanDome. There’s a revamped look for Steppenwolf, and some more backstory for The Flash and Cyborg.

Most interesting of all, there seems to be more of Darkseid and Superman, too.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut will be released solely on HBO Max in 2021.
