Though still in Colombia as of the moment, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray took effort to show support to Filipinos who were greatly affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

Through a video she uploaded on her social media account, she encouraged fans to support Philippine Red Cross' relief and aid services for those affected by the typhoon.

"As of the moment, the Philippine is experiencing the wrath of one typhoon after another. 2020 is not letting up on its challenges. Just after Typhoon Rolly devastated my hometown in Bicol, right now in key areas of Central Luzon including Metro Manila, people escaped extreme flood levels on their roofs waiting to be rescued."

"These families have lost so much and worry for the safety and health of themselves, their loved ones, and their kababayans," she related.

She then appealed to "generous donors" and "kindhearted people" to help by donating to the Red Cross.

"This donation could help with its current rescue and relief operations and go towards funding the distribution of hygiene kits and for non-food and food items that these affected Filipinos so desperately needed in this time of crisis."

Catriona is in Colombia having been tapped to sit as judge to the Miss Universe-Colombia pageant.
