Athletes remind public to #StaySafe as 'Ulysses' leaves heavy damage in NCR, nearby regions

As Typhoon "Ulysses" weakens Thursday morning, several athletes took to social media their constant reminder for the public to stay safe amid these trying times.

The heavy damage brought by "Ulysses" in different parts of the National Capital Region and Central Luzon has added fuel to the fire to the ongoing crisis in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

That said, the likes of Kiefer Ravena, Alyssa Valdez, Kevin Ferrer and Jackson Corpuz have kept their followers updated with their situation while reminding everyone to take care of themselves.

Inside the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga, for instance, Ravena and Corpuz posted messages on Instagram Stories with the NLEX star showing a video of the gloomy surroundings as mild winds blow the trees around Quest Hotel in Mimosa.

Ravena is still at the bubble as the PBA postponed returning trips of the eliminated teams NLEX, Blackwater and Terrafirma back to Manila due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds.

NorthPort's Ferrer was fortunate enough to be reunited with his fiancée MM Belarmino but also posted a clip of large green mangoes falling to the ground around their residence due to intense breeze.

Valdez, meanwhile, captioned her Instagram Story "2020" with a crying emoji, showing around their vicinity enveloped in muddy floodwaters.

As of 1 p.m Thursday, tropical cyclone wind signal No. 3 has been lifted as "Ulysses" continues to accelerate while moving away from the country.
