Rain or Shine can complete the quarterfinal cast Tuesday with a win over TNT in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

The Elasto Painters seek to put the quarterfinal race in bed at 4 p.m. against a Tropang Giga squad that is aiming for a twice-to-beat advantage.

Defending champion San Miguel Beer hopes to end the elims on a winning note and keep alive chances of a twice-to-beat against NorthPort at 6:45 p.m.

One more quarters spot is at stake after five teams assured themselves of an extended stay inside the bubble known as Smart Clark Giga City on Monday.

That leaves Rain or Shine with control of its own destiny, but with the tough task of having to face TNT and Phoenix which both have 7-3 records.

TNT is coming off a 102-89 victory over Meralco last Saturday, and the three-day rest could be beneficial going into the match.

The Tropang Giga need to beat the Elasto Painters to gain the twice-to-beat or otherwise face the possible danger of falling out of the top four if the quotient system is need to determine tiebreakers.

ROS will actually start the first of a back-to-back as it will face Phoenix on Wednesday in the final day of the elims.

SMB goes into its matchup with NorthPort on a high following an 81-66 romp of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last Sunday.

The Beermen are at 6-4, needing a win to have a chance at the top four and a twice-to-beat bonus.
