Investigation showed that Bello was using his phone at the passenger side of his car with the window open when his phone suddenly disappeared from his hand along P. Burgos Street near Mehan Garden at around 7:15 p.m. Friday.

The four snatchers were arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) on Sunday, November 8.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said they will arrest those who will buy Bello's phone, even if the sale does not happen in Manila.

The phone has reportedly been located but investigation is going on.

Mayor Isko renewed his warning to criminals to stay away from Manila.

"Kung gusto ninyo mamatay sa puyat dahil hindi namin kayo patutulugin, hindi kayo makakabuhay ng normal 'pag gumawa kayo ng krimen sa Maynila (We will not let you sleep.  We will not let you live a normal life if you commit a crime in Manila)," the mayor said in a speech during the flag-raising ceremony Monday (Nov. 9).

"We will go after you, we will pursue you... we will spend every single cent of all the resources of the Manila city government and Manila Police District strength," Mayor Isko warned.
