The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday received reports of 10 new confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases and three new recoveries among overseas Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific and Europe.
No new fatality was recorded among Filipinos in all other geographical regions worldwide.
As of October 30, 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases involving Filipinos abroad is 11,239. Of the total, 3,160 are undergoing treatment, 7,262 have recovered and 817 died of coronavirus infections.
The Middle East and Africa remain the region with the most number of COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos with 7,380, and the most number of deaths due to coronavirus with 532.
“The DFA personnel in our Foreign Service Posts remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and agencies to ensure the Filipinos’ awareness and adherence to preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, and commit to tirelessly attending to the needs of our people affected by this pandemic, whenever possible,” the foreign affairs office said in a statement.
