'Frustrating': Racela itches for Blackwater return after another postponement

SMART CLARK GIGA CITY--Blackwater head coach Nash Racela could not hide his disappointment over another game postponement. 

The PBA decided to cancel the Elite's match against Magnolia at 4 p.m. pending the green light from the IATF. 

It was the second straight game the Blackwater missed following the suspension of its clash versus Rain or Shine last Sunday after one of its players became the second "suspect case" in the bubble. 

The player, who was asymptomatic, was later on deemed as a "false positive" after testing negative on antigen and confirmatory RT-PCR tests administered at the quarantine facility in Capas, Tarlac. 

As per protocols, he remains under quarantine at the Athlete's Village in New Clark City.

"(It's) frustrating in a way because we are left hanging day-to-day. Hard to move without a definite sched or plan," said the 48-year-old Racela in a text message to Manila Bulletin.

Racela and the Elite last saw action in a 96-109 defeat to league-leading TNT that pushed them down to 2-3 last October 22. 

The Tropang Giga's game against NorthPort on Monday was also cancelled for precautionary measures. 

Racela said they just have to live with the league's decision and prepare for their return to the hardcourt. 

"But it is what it is and all we can do is adjust by the day," said Racela, whose team already had practices on Monday and Tuesday.
