Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez is pleased over the decrease of active coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city which is now down to 94 as of Oct. 24.
Olivarez attributed the decline to the hard work of the City Health Office (CHO) in their continued response to isolate and treat those infected by the disease.
The city government has been strictly implementing health protocols to avoid infection.
“I am also pleased with the cooperation and discipline of the city residents it helping the city government in bringing down the number of active cases,” Olivarez said.
“Let’s continue the fight in making the city free from the virus,” Olivarez urged his constituents.
Parañaque has recorded 6,597 confirmed cases since the pandemic began in March with 6,337 recoveries, and 166 deaths.
The city government has been giving residents free swab tests to determine those infected by the virus and immediately render medical interventions for their fast recovery.
The city government also gave out food packs, washable face masks, face shields, and other services as part of the city’s COVID-19 response.
