Active COVID-19 cases in Manila drop to 483


The number of active coronavirus cases in the city of Manila dropped to 483 on Friday, October 23 from a high of 718 recorded on October 16.

Of the 19,351 confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases recorded in the city, 18,294 have recovered while 574 perished from the disease.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso reminded residents to continue observing the government-issued health and safety protocols amid the threat of COVID-19.

"Hindi pa rin tayo dapat maging kampante. Let’s remember na nagsimula sa isang kaso lamang ang pandemic (We should not be complacent. Let's remember that the pandemic started with only one case)," he said in a statement on Saturday.
