Capt. Yvonne Sunga piloted flight PR8655 on a widebody Airbus A330, along with First Officer May Marie A Segovia and Second Officer Marie Rose Ison Maximo.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna, in a Facebook post, said it’s a “first” for the airline to have an all-female flight deck crew on a widebody aircraft.

Villaluna said the flight led by the female trio is “a milestone moment to be proud of.”

Maximo said the flight "brightened her day and made her forget about her worries."

“A flight of female pilots, former flight attendants, and a former military female pilot. Wow, thank you ladies for sharing this beautiful sky with me,” Villaluna quoted Maximo as saying.

"A flight full of hope and positivity, sisterhood, wisdom, and faith,” she added.
