Actress Krystal of K-pop group f(x) signs up with new agency


K-pop star and actress Krystal, 25, who now uses the stage name Jung Soo Jung, has signed up with a new agency.

H& Entertainment announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with Krystal whose contract with SM Entertainment expired in August.

“We are extremely excited to join with a multi-talented artist as Jung Soo Jung at the new starting line towards change and great progress,” H& Entertainment announced, according to Osen.

It added, “We will wholeheartedly support Jung Soo Jung, the female artist who has gained global popularity after debuting as a singer while constantly solidifying her position as an actress, so that she can showcase acting with even more depth and deliver plentiful activities."

H& Entertainment is home to stars including Son Dambi, Jeong Ryeo-won, In Gyo-jin, Jung In-sun, So Yi-hyun, Kwak Dong-yeon and Kang Min-ah.

Krystal will be starring in the drama “Search” with actor Jang Dong-yoon, which will premiere on OCN on Oct. 17. She is also starring in the film “More Than Family” that will be released in November.

She debuted in f(x) in September 2009 and made her acting debut in 2010 through “More Charming By The Day.” She has appeared in other dramas including “The Heirs,” “My Lovely Girl,” “The Bride of Habaek,” “Prison Playbook” and “Player.”

In August, Krystal, sister of former Girls’ Generation member Jessica, was reported to be leaving SM Entertainment, which was her home for 10 years. In September last year, f(x) members Amber and Luna left SM Entertainment. Sulli, who passed away on Oct. 14, 2019, left f(x) in 2015.
