Taking to Instagram Monday, he said, "We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way."

"It's gonna be a tough battle but with everyone's love and support, we are going to beat this," he added.

In an interview with Britain's OK! Magazine, Parker said his doctors described his tumor as "the worst case scenario."

"I'm still in complete shock, it's so much to take it," Parker said. "I knew something wasn't right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you."

Parker achieved fame in the early 2010s as part of the boyband The Wanted, reaching no. 1 with the singles "All Time Low" and "Glad You Came."

In 2018, the singer married actress Kelsey Hardwick. The two have a daughter born in 2019, and in June 2020 announced they were expecting a boy in November.
