‘Spiderman-3’ will feature Doctor Strange and Electro

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has reported to join the third installment of Sony’s "Spiderman" franchise, playing his role as Doctor Strange.

"Doctor Strange" will play a "mentor" role that was previously portrayed by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Nick Fury. (Samuel L. Jackson)

Along with his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jamie Foxx will once again play Electro on the upcoming Spiderman movie.

Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei are still part of the cast.

"Spider Man: Homecoming" director Jon Watts would remain as the director of the upcoming film which will be shown on Dec. 17, 2021.

Movie Web Marvel announced that the movie will begin shooting in late October in New York City.

On the other hand, Cumberbatch’s other Marvel film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is also set to start shooting this month in London.

Marvel and Sony had no comment about when and where Benedict will shoot his scenes.
