Mayor Francis Zamora said the bloodletting drive will start at 8 a.m. until 12 noon at the San Juan City Hall Atrium. The project is in partnership with the Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Inc..

The mayor noted that there are still a lot of patients in need of blood donations, especially during this time of pandemic.

“The need for blood donations still exists, more so in the midst of the pandemic—because many patients depend on blood donations in order to get the care they need,” Zamora said.

“So, I enjoin all our city hall and barangay officials and employees, members of San Juan City Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and all abled San Juaneños to join us for a worthy cause,” he added.

Those who are willing to donate blood were reminded to observe minimum safety protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields.

“Be a life saver. Donate blood and save lives,” Zamora said.
