DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite - Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga announced on Tuesday (September 29) that she tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to Barzaga, she got her swab test results on Monday and she is currently under isolation.
"Halos lahat ng mga regular kong kasama sa aking opisina ay nakapag pa-swab na at karamihan naman sa kanila ay negatibo sa virus (Almost everyone I regularly work with in the office has already undergone a swab test and most of them got negative results)," Barzaga wrote on her Facebook page.
"Sino man sa inyo na nakasalamuha ko ng mga nakaraang araw ay makipag-ugnayan agad sa inyong Barangay Health Emergency Response Team o sa City Health Office para kayo ay mabigyang gabay sa dapat ninyong gawin (Anyone of you with whom I interacted with these past few days, coordinate with your BHERT or with the CHO for guidance on what to do)," she added.
The city government announced on Sunday that the City Hall will be temporarily closed from September 28 to October 4 for massive disinfection.
