TNC Predator has parted ways with its position five support and captain Park "March" Tae-won, the team announced on Twitter on Monday.
"We would like to thank Park Tae-won MarchDota for his efforts in bringing the team closer to the apex of Dota 2's competitive scene and with this, we are announcing his release from our official team roster," said the team in a statement.
March joined TNC along with Damien "kpii" Chok in September last year following the departure of ex-captain Nico "eyyou" Barcelon and Carlo "Kuku" Palad after The International 2019.
The Korean veteran immediately made his presence felt as he helped the Filipino powerhouse squad reign supreme in the ESL One Hamburg 2019 where he was hailed as the tournament MVP.
With March at the helm, TNC went on to rule the MDL Chengdu Major, the first major championship of the current Dota Pro Circuit season.
However, the team struggled in recent online tournaments besides the ESL One Thailand which it won, as March and kpii had to deal with ping issues from playing in their own homes due to the pandemic.
March was released from the roster just a few days after TNC settled for a lackluster 5th-6th place finish in the BTS Pro Series Season 3.
"Through many ups and downs, our Captain March has proven his abilities to execute game-winning strategies and correct judgements on different aspects of the game for the team to fully realize its potential that would later become essential in winning the first Major of the current DPC season."
"Unfortunately, the team has decided to go towards a different path to achieve our goals. Although this is where March parts his way from us, it is definitely not the end of our friendship."
TNC has yet to announce the replacement for March.
