Despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, sports personalities Kiefer Ravena, Kobe Paras and Nikko Huelgas continue to provide assistance in every way possible.
The company behind Chooks-to-Go, Uling Roasters, and Adobo Connection worked with these individuals to reach a hand to the frontliners who are risking their lives since day one.
For the past 23 days, ambassadors and staff of all brands under the Bountry Agro Ventures Inc. (BAVI) umbrella went around the country to give joy to different 23 sectors.
Ravena of NLEX Road Warriors, Paras of the UP Fighting Maroons, and Huelgas, a two-time Southeast Asian Games champion, extended help along with sports commentators Mark Zambrano, Mara Aquino, and Chiqui Reyes.
"We are deeply grateful to everyone who had been part of our company’s journey and the country’s fight against the pandemic,” said BAVI President Ronald Mascariñas.
“It is my hope that through this simple gesture of thanksgiving to them, we can inspire more people to be heroic in their daily lives as well.”
Through the month of September, BAVI gave 23,000-kilos of chicken for its 23rd anniversary. Medical facilities, schools, orphanages, public transport groups, barangay halls, military camps, city halls, and zoos, among others, received the food assistance across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
This is on top of the 400,000 meal equivalents that it distributed to various groups for the past six months.
