Stars of ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam’ grateful with work

A lot of people are complaining about the apparent lack of work amid the ongoing pandemic. Those in show business are no exception with most production companies now hesitant to launch new projects for one reason or another.

It is as such that the cast of ABS-CBN’s newest series “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” which starts airing Monday, Sept. 28, 9:20 pm via the Kapamilya Channel, among others, could only be grateful.

Paulo Avelino noted, “It’s not just about us coming up with a good show or a good performance. The motivation here goes beyond that. We are thinking about the rest of the production team who are all depending on the show as livelihood.”

Indeed, it might have been easier for them to avoid the bother that comes with the possibility of them getting infected with the deadly virus by simply basking in the comfort of their own homes but the show must go on, as the adage goes.

Arci Muñoz admitted she was actually hesitant in accepting the project.

“Kasi I am staying with my mom na senior citizen na so I thought baka delikado but when they pitched the story ang ganda ganda. At ang ganda din ng role ko so, nawala ang hesitation,” she said.

“Now I’m really thankful to be part of the show, it’s a blessing. I’m really grateful to be working and I’m really happy na iningatan din kami ng production team.”

Note the cast and crew were placed under lock-down in an undisclosed location as part of safety protocols.

It has its challenges but ultimately, it helped them form a great bond.

Ronnie Lazaro related, “I’m fortunate being part of this show kasi before, puro ka maraming iniisip, maraming pangamba, pero now that we are working, okay naman pala, It’s not the same nung wala pang pandemic pero it works. It is like a cure from anxiety.”

Cherry Pie Picache agreed saying, “Mahirap din, maraming adjustment especially in terms of following health protocols pero hindi mo maikakaila na being together on a daily basis for 12 hours, iba yun bond na nabuo namin as a group. Masaya kami, e. Gaya nang sinabi ni Ronnie, parang nagamot yung mga anxiety namin.”

“Walang Hanggang Paalam” also stars Jake Cuenca, JC Santos, Tonton Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, McCoy De Leon, Mary Joy Apostol, Sherry Lara, Victor Silayan, and Javi Benitez.

The show is directed by Emmanuel Palo and Darnel Villaflor and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment.
