Robredo posted on Facebook the work opportunities, most of which are blue-collar jobs, for interested applicants.

The number of available jobs has grown since the launch of Sikap.PH, where the job vacancies are posted and can be accessed.

“Meron na po tayong 10,080 jobs available as of today. Makikita po dito kung saan yung mga trabahong available (We have 10,080 jobs available as of today. The available jobs can be seen here),” Robredo said, referring to the website.

The Vice President said those who want to apply for the jobs don’t need a college degree.

Metro Manila accounts for most of the available jobs, with 4,022. There are 2,017 and 1,172 job vacancies in Batangas and Cebu, respectively.

The other work opportunities are in Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Davao del Sur, Bulacan, Pampanga, Quezon, Iloilo, and Bataan.

“Kung kayo ay naghahanap ng trabaho sa mga lugar na ito, bisitahin lamang po ang sikap.ph at puwede na kayo dito mag apply ng direcho (If you’re looking for a job in these areas, just visit sikap.ph and you can apply directly),” she said.

Robredo’s office partnered with Elevatech Solutions to create the job listings website, the first leg of its “Bayanihanapbuhay” program.

Since the onset of the virus outbreak in March, Robredo has spearheaded COVID-19 response programs for various affected sectors.
