The PBS said the campaign aims to raise more than P6 million to give a copy of the Bible to 48,000 frontline workers.

"Let us thank God for the lives of our frontline workers who daily risk their lives to keep us safe and protected. They have given so much for us!" PBS said in their Facebook page.

"Our frontliners need hope through the Word of God! Join the #SpreadHopeNotFear Bayanihan for frontliners today!" the post read.

Ms. Dawn Moran-Castro, PBS communications supervisor, said the campaign aims to distribute 24,000 Pinoy New Testaments and 24,000 Magandang Balita Biblia Missionary Edition Bibles nationwide for a total of 48,000.

She said the Bibles will be distributed not only to those in the medical field, but also in city jails and barangay halls among others.

"It's not only for nurses or those in the medical field…we will also distribute it to garbage collectors, teachers, church workers," said Moran-Castro in an interview Wednesday.

Since the launch of the campaign last April, Moran-Castro said they were able to distribute 3,671 Bibles.

"Bible distribution is ongoing in Bataan today. Upcoming schedules for Bible distributions in Visayas and Mindanao," Moran-Castro said.

PBS appealed to the public to continue to support their ongoing campaign.

"Please continue to support our Campaign to raise P6 million for 48,000 frontliners in need of copies of the Bible. Your donation of P1,500 entitles 10 frontliners with the gift of 10 copies of the Bible! Let's give them hope and encouragement that we are in this fight together!" said PBS.
