Netflix has released the final trailer for the animated musical “Over the Moon” on Wednesday.
The American-Chinese film follows the story of 13-year-old Fei (Cathy Ang) who builds a rocket to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess.
The film is inspired by the Chinese mythological character Change’, the Chinese goddess of the moon.
“Blast off with OVER THE MOON, an extraordinary ultra luminary new musical adventure directed by animation legend Glen Keane,” Netflix tweeted on Wednesday.
Keane has also worked on Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Aladdin.”
“Over the Moon” features the voices of Cathy Ang, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Margaret Cho, and Sandra Oh.
The film premieres Oct. 23.
