In his order, Fresnedi declared the closure of memorial parks, cemeteries, ossuariums, and columbariums in Muntinlupa from October 29 to November 4.

He said the management of these facilities should “encourage the early arrival of visitors, from hereon to 28 October 2020, and guarantee the number of visitors shall be limited to a maximum of 30 percent of the venue capacity, and these visitors shall wear face masks and face shields and shall observe the one-meter social distancing rule.”

Everyone will be allowed to visit the facilities until October 28 including those at least 60 years old and 17 years old and below but the “observance of the one-meter social distancing shall never be compromised and the length of time for visiting shall be limited,” the mayor added.

The management of the facilities should also coordinate with the Philippine National Police Muntinlupa, Public Order and Safety Office, and the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau, and ensure compliance with the order.

Fresnedi also said the city’s Community Affairs Development Office (CADO), which exercises control and supervision of the Muntinlupa public cemetery and crematorium in Barangay Putatan will continue to provide crematorium and burial services during the closure period.

Before and after the closure period, the CADO will implement visitation and burial services hours at the Putatan cemetery from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and crematorium hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
