Saudi Arabia celebrates 90th National Day today

(Message from the Ambassador on the occasion of the 90th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 23, 2020)

H.E. Dr. Abdullah N.A. Al Bussairy
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the Philippines

A new year is added to history from the days of our homeland and a bright page added to a record full of achievements, goodness, and peace, and a new memory for the unification of this great country by the late King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul Rahman — may God have mercy on his soul — who by the grace of God on the founder and his loyal men who embodied the blessing of reunification under the banner of monotheism, from which the light of Islam emerged and carried its eternal message to humanity.

The National Day is an important occasion where we celebrate the development and growth of our beloved country in various scientific, economic, cultural, and civilizational fields, with the development experience it offers that has been admired by the world, especially that the Kingdom leads the G20 in light of these exceptional circumstances represented by the corona pandemic. This is evident in what the kingdom is pursuing. From a global stature and political and economic weight, which made the kingdom the most reliable partner in the region, as well as its humanitarian stance in light of this pandemic with those residing on its territory, it did not differentiate between the citizen and the resident, even violating the residency system.

The wise directives of our inspired leadership stress the care for citizens’ affairs abroad, provide all facilities for them, and represent the Kingdom in the most prestigious Arab, Islamic, regional and international councils and organizations, in a way that reflects the true image of the kingdom of what it represents in terms of religious, political, and economic weight and in a way that enhances the kingdom’s special interests, and serves its sisters. It is one of the Gulf, Arab, and Islamic countries and their friends and allies in general, and it is our duty to serve the interests of the kingdom, preserve the integrity of its lands and its development, take care of the interests of citizens at home and abroad, and continue to elevate the kingdom’s position in the world.

The security and stability that our country is experiencing, the development and prosperity it is witnessing, the wealth, capabilities, and qualified human resources it enjoys, and its strategic position qualifies it to be in the ranks of the nations. All of these require that we thank the Almighty for his generosity and generosity, and invite us to preserve our gains and continuing to work to achieve more success and accomplishments and the kingdom’s vision (2030), approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz — may God bless him — and with the support of His Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — may God protect him. This marks the beginning of a new phase of development and serious work to anticipate the future and continue walking in the ranks of developed countries and achieving the desired growth.

In the end, I pray to God Almighty to preserve the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful Crown Prince and to preserve our country’s security and stability under our wise leadership. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
