DFA tally: 25 new cases, 15 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad


The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday reported 25 new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases, and 15 new recoveries among our Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 
 
No new fatality was recorded in the latest tally compiled from the various foreign service posts worldwide. 
 
Two previously reported recoveries in a country in the Middle East were removed from the list upon verification with Post. 
 
The latest report from Africa also raises the number of countries with Filipino COVID-19 patients to 78.

To date, the total number of COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad is 10,385. Of the total, 6,593 have recovered, 3,015 are undergoing treatment, and 777 died of the disease. 
 
Amid the pandemic, the DFA assured that its various posts abroad remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and agencies in ensuring that overseas Filipinos adhere to the preventive measures against COVID-19, and commit to attending to the needs of affected nationals, whenever possible.
