Former PCSO head Honeygirl Singson-de Leon passes away

Former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairperson Ma. Livia “Honeygirl” Singson-de Leon passed away on Thursday. She was 74 years old.

This was confirmed by her son, Quezon City Councilor Don de Leon. “It is with a heavy heart that we would like to announce that our mother quietly passed away this morning,” he said. “We ask for prayers, that her soul finds eternal rest with our Creator,” he added.

The former PCSO head passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Sept. 17. De Leon, her eldest son and former chief of staff at the PCSO, said details of her mother’s wake “will be announced” later.

According to reports, De Leon suffered a stroke in 2004 while presiding over a meeting in Baguio City. She served as PCSO chairperson under former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

De Leon is also the younger sister of former Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson.
