Singer-actor Ogie Alcasid paid tribute to his dad, Hermino Alcasid Sr. in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“I will miss you so much Dad. My heart grieves knowing you are gone but I am at peace because you are in the loving arms of our Father in heaven. I love you so much Daddy,” the singer wrote.
Ogie’s friends from showbiz including Marian Rivera, Pops Fernandez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Gloc 9 have extended their condolences to the OPM icon.
In 2010, the elder Alcasid was appointed by then President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to the board of directors of the Philippine National Oil Co. Development and Management Corporation.
Two years later, Hermino, a lawyer, was reappointed anew by Aquino as president and chief executive officer of the PNOC subsidiary.
