Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas led a recent ceremony that had the statue of Gen. Martin Delgado wearing a facemask, which was made from hablon and crafted by fashion designer Jeff Ticao, at the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park (IBP) of property developer Megaworld Corp.

“General Martin Delgado fought a great battle in our history Ilonggos right now as we are currently facing the pandemic,” Treñas said.

“We need the cooperation of Ilonggos to follow and observe safety protocols to help the city recover from this pandemic,” added IBP Vice President for Sales and Marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong.

The city, which has seen an economic boom for almost half a decade, had also been affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“The only way for us to sustain that is to support our entrepreneurs and their businesses,” added Palmares-Fong.

IBP has made initiatives to make sure that its township with the Festive Walk Iloilo mall, hotels and buildings catering to various call centers are adhering to minimum health and safety standards.

IBP also teamed up with The Medical City Iloilo to boost the sanitation and infection control measures at its Festive Walk Iloilo mall.
