Ted Failon to debut new program on Radyo 5
Few days after bidding ABS-CBN goodbye, TV5 broadcaster Ted Failon will return on air with a program over Radyo 5 under the TV5 media banner.
Failon will anchor a morning news magazine program with DJ ChaCha, his long-time radio partner on “Failon Ngayon” over ABS-CBN’s AM radio outfit DZMM.
In a statement sent to Bulletin Entertainment, Ted promised to deliver a “paradigm shift” on FM radio as they offer hard news, social media features, and discussion.
“We are thankful Radyo 5 will give us the opportunity to serve the people with this one-of-a- kind format,” he said.
Ted’s 30-year career as broadcast journalist earned him countless awards. He is the recipient of multiple Hall of Fame awards from organizations such as Anak TV and ComGuild Center for Journalism, while his radio program “Failon Ngayon” is the only Catholic Mass Media Awards Hall of Fame awardee for Best News Commentary.
He was also awarded the prestigious Ka Doroy Broadcaster of the Year by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster Sa Pilipinas.
