Alfonso and Carmona towns to close cemeteries on All Saints’, All Souls’ Day

CAVITE - The municipal government of Alfonso announced on Friday (Sept. 11) that all public and private cemeteries within its jurisdiction will be closed from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.

Mayor Randy Salamat said the order aims to help curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). He encouraged his constituents to visit their dearly departed before the said dates to prevent mass gatherings.

Early this week, Carmona Mayor Roy Loyola announced the temporary closure of Sanctuario De Carmona from Oct. 26 to Nov. 8.

The municipal government is organizing a cemetery visit window from Oct. 10 to Oct. 25, whose schedule and guidelines will soon be announced.
