Julia Barretto dismisses controversies she faced last year

Julia Barretto is not keen on drawing attention towards controversies she faced last year including her split with Joshua Garcia and being tagged as the third party in Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo’s breakup.

Apparently, the 23-year-old believes all these inconsequential now, in light of people going through tougher challenges what with the ongoing pandemic.

In an interview with writer G3 San Diego Monday, Barretto explained, “It’s like there are more people we should be asking that question because of the way they just survive things, especially now, just watching what other people are going through. We are losing people, people are getting sick, people are losing their jobs. Some people have nothing to eat on the table. That’s much worse than what I went through last year.”

Barretto then explained how she opted to simply face the said controversies the best way she can.

“You just gotta get moving until the next one,” she related.

If anything, she learned a lot from it.

“One thing I learned is you can’t get stuck,” she said. “Nothing really is permanent.”
