"We need to be more aware and we need to be more vigilant even while we're at home," said Deputy Chief Implementer and Testing Czar Secretary Vivencio Dizon during a television interview with CNN Philippines.

According to him, households and workplaces have emerged in the past two weeks as sources of transmission.

"We really have to be vigilant in these settings," Dizon said.

"The problem with the household is that when you're home you tend to be more relaxed you tend to think that you are well-protected there. However people in the household come and go. They go out, they go to work, they go to the grocery store and then they come back home and interact with other household and family members," he added.

Dizon said that they are seeing more and more of this possible source of COVID-19 transmission in communities.

"We need to ensure that we are protected while we are at home by not only protecting ourselves but also protecting our family members and our household members," he said.

The testing czar mentioned that one of the various interventions they are looking at is the wearing of masks even when at home. He added that everyone should try to avoid situations where we put ourselves in vulnerable positions.
