"Kung ano yung mga process doon sa mga pardon at parole at mga lumalaya ay ganun din po yung ating gagawin. Only that we have to consider all implications ng ating ginagawa dahil itong PDL na to covered nga siya ng ibang agreements (Whatever process the pardons, paroles, and others who were released went through, it will be the same with Pemberton. Only that we have to consider all implications of everything we are doing because this PDL is covered by other agreements)," BuCor spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag told DZBB

Chaclag said they are preparing for the release of Pemberton but are still waiting for the original copy of the pardon.

"Nakastipulate po doon yung ibang dapat gawin, so on our part, nagreready na po yung ating mga personnel. Kanya-kanya pong section yan at handa na din po nilang gawin kung ano yung dapat nilang gawin (It is stipulated what needs to be done so our personnel are getting ready. There are separate sections and they are prepared to do what they have to)," Chaclag said.

He added that the ordinary release process takes days and that they will expedite the process so that it will be over soon.

Pemberton, who was convicted of homicide in December, 2015, for the killing of transgender Jennifer Laude, was granted absolute pardon by President Duterte on Monday.
