Kyline Alcantara won't entertain suitors online

Kapuso talent Kyline Alcantara turned 18 recently but due to the pandemic, her celebration was kept simple.

In an interview, she revealed a big bash was planned months ago. In the end, though, only a surprise “quarantined” party pushed through, attended by family and some of her close friends in the industry.

“They tried to keep it a surprise pero malakas kasi ang pangamoy ko sa mga ganyan,” she said. “When they told me I had to be at a certain place to discuss an endorsement deal, medyo natunugan ko na.”

Now that she’s a woman, will she finally have a love life and be open about it, we asked. Two of her rumored admirers are singer Darren Espanto and actor Miguel Tanfelix.

“I’m not even sure if my parents will allow me to entertain suitors,” she said, laughing. “Di pa namin napaguusapan.”

But will she allow suitors to court her online? And will she accept their gifts via delivery service? After all, there’s social distancing to consider in the new normal.

“Oo nga , no. I never even thought of those things,” she admitted. “I’d rather kasi na pag ligawan ako ay in person. Pero dahil hindi naman pwede pa, love can wait.”

Enjoying a wholesome image from the time she started, we asked Kyline if she’ll do more daring projects or even just posts daring photos---as in those that show more skin than before.

The budding actress shook her head.

“Just because I’m 18 doesn’t mean I need to go that way,” she said to that effect. “For now, it’s not for me.”

Prior, she aired on Instagram some of her thoughts on hitting the milestone.

“Swinging to adulthood now. I've been told that it's not gonna be an easy ride. But with you people to guide me, I know that I'm gonna be just fine…” she wrote.

Kyline looks forward to resuming work on her projects for GMA. Among them is “Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit” headed no less than by Nora Aunor.

Kyline's love interest on the series is Yasser Marta.
