SSS Mobile App recommend to members

State-run Social Security System (SSS) urged its members to download its mobile application for a more convenient way to transact with the pension fund.

In a statement, Aurora C. Ignacio, SSS president and chief executive, said the SSS Mobile App is a free downloadable app for smartphone users, user-friendly and easy to access.

According to Ignacio, the SSS Mobile App has been designed to provide convenience for members without the hassle of queuing in the pension fund’s branches.

Launched in 2018, SSS Mobile App allows members to view their contributions record, membership information, branches' location, benefit claim status, salary loan applications, and remaining loan balance.

Members can also update their contact information through the mobile app.

“Through the years, we have incorporated other services in the SSS Mobile app, like the generation of Payment Reference Number needed for SSS contribution payment and filing of maternity notification for female SSS members,” Ignacio said.

“They can also pay their contributions using PayMaya through the SSS Mobile App,” she added.

The SSS Mobile App now ranked as the most downloadable free app in Google Play Store, Apple's App Store, and among Huawei users.

In January to June 2020, SSS Mobile App has recorded nearly 22.4 million transactions, or an average of 124,24 transactions per day.

Among the transactions on SSS Mobile App, checking member's salary loan status garnered the highest number of transactions with more than 7.6 million.

"With the use of modern technology and with SSS’ digitalization efforts, we further encourage all our members and the employers as well to use this mobile app to enjoy a simple, fast and easy way of conducting your transactions with SSS," Ignacio said
