Western Visayas region currently has a total of 1,703 recoveries. It is 45 percent out of the 3,738 total COVID-19 cases recorded since March.

Bacolod City posted the highest number of recoveries with 133 followed by Iloilo province with 11.

Iloilo City had three recoveries while one recovery each was recorded in Antique, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental provinces.

There are currently 1,980 active COVID-19 cases in the region with 87 new cases recorded on Wednesday.  Majority of the new cases, 82 out of 87,  were locally transmitted.

The DOH-6 has previously left it to local government units (LGUs) to specify the demographic data of new COVID-19 cases when it omitted the detailed information in its daily bulletin.
