Nike debuts a powerful commercial honoring the legacy of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
Narrated by Kendrick Lamar, the ad, titled "Better," shows short clips of Bryant from the moment he got drafted in the NBA in 1996 to the day he played his last game for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2016.
The 1 minute and 30 seconds ad also asks the audience to apply Bryant's commitment to excellence -- from sports, to social change, to teaching other, to being a friend, to being a parent.
"I wake up every single day to get better today," Bryant said in the background. "Whatever it takes."
The commercial concludes with Bryant's retirement speech, "Mamba out."
Several athletes such as Jimmy Alapag, LA Tenorio, Gabe Norwood, Alyssa Valdez, Kiefer Ravena, Mo Tautuaa, and CJ Perez shared the poignant ad.
