‘Pitch Perfect’ cast reunite to raise funds for UNICEF

“Pitch Perfect” cast have come together anew for a virtual performance to raise funds for The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Actress Elizabeth Banks, one of the film producers, shared on Instagram the Barden Bellas’ performance of Beyonce’s “Love on Top.”

“Buckle up kids, the Bella’s are back… for a good cause! Families around the globe are suffering from the impact of the #COVID19 pandemic, especially those in Lebanon who are facing crisis after crisis. But we can all pitch in and help,” Banks wrote.

The Barden Bellas who took part in the performance are Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hailee Steinfeld, Alexis Knapp, Hana Mae Lee, Kelley Alice Jakle, Chrissie Fit, and Shelley Regner.

According to Banks, the money raised from the downloads of the Bellas’ performance will go directly to UNICEF to help children in Lebanon and people around the world who need support.

“Pitch Perfect” is a 2012 musical comedy film that follows the story of the Barden University’s all girl acapella group, the Barden Bellas, as they compete against other acapella groups from their college to win the Nationals.

It was followed by two sequels, “Pitch Perfect 2” in 2015 and “Pitch Perfect 3” in 2017.
