₱33 million Ferrari F8 Tributo now in the Philippines


Ferrari Philippines unveils the latest addition to its lineup in the form of the F8 Tributo. The V8 mid-engined sports car is so named after its 3.9-liter eight-cylinder engine; which won “Best Engine” in the International Engine of the Year awards from 2016 to 2018. The new F8 Tributo replaces the 488 GTB in its lineup.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Center, the sports car carries on the brand’s renowned styling, integrating functional aerodynamics into its form. If the 458 and 488 are known for their upright headlight designs, the F8 introduces more compact, horizontal LED headlights. Ducts above the headlights now function as channels that funnel the air to cool the front brake ducts. Ferrari calls the complex of wings and orifices in front an S-Duct, which directs airflow as well as produces downforce. Fitting its name, the rear puts its mid-rear-mounted V8 on display under Lexan material, which lighter than glass, and integrating louvers for heat extraction as a tribute to the legendary F40.

Inside is a driver-oriented cockpit with generous use of aluminum, and leather with contrast inserts and stitching, or even in optionable in carbon fiber. Ahead of the driver is a tachometer dominated display with LCD screens on either side for various driving info.

As is now becoming a Ferrari tradition, stalks for signal lights, wipers, and various other instruments have been eliminated in favor or steering wheel-mounted signal lamps, light controls, as well as a drive mode knob and suspension setting button.

Among the more intriguing optional extras are the steering wheel with the optional shift lights on the top of the rim, the carbon fiver dashboard, as well as a passenger-side mounted 7-inch touchscreen that gives the co-driver a view of the rev-counter and various other settings.

Propelling the F8 Tributo is a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 which produces 720-PS at 8,000 rpm and 770-Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm. It’s paired with a seven-speed dual clutch paddle shift transmission. Additional programs like Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer Plus, Adaptive Performance Launch and Side Slip Control (SSC) allow the driver to further extract more power and performance on the limit.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is now available at the Ferrari showroom. Those interested can expect to prepare more than ₱33 million to start, with the price varying depending on the number of options and customizations selected.
