In a statement posted on the Rizal Provincial Government’s Facebook page, Ynares said she will abide by the Department of Health protocols by having herself undergo the 14-day quarantine and consulting a doctor should symptoms show up.

Ynares wrote in the same post that she had the chance to talk to the DILG secretary for a few hours when the IATF National Task Force visited the province and held a brief meeting with the provincial and other local
leaders at the provincial capitol in this city .

The governor said although she was wearing face mask and face shield during the meeting with Año and other IATF officials, she has agreed to undergo quarantine to make sure that she will not be a carrier of the virus should she turn positive again too.

Ynares urged others who had contact with Año on Aug. 12 to do the same as she enjoins her provincemates to pray for the speedy recovery of the DILG secretary.

The provincial government has also posted a photo of  Ynares chatting with Ano at the presidential table during the visit of the IATF National Task Force and the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic Team in the province.

Ynares herself tested positive for COVID-19 and went into isolation in late March this year.
