PAL operating limited int'l all cargo flights during MECQ


Philippine Airlines (PAL) is operating limited  all cargo international flights  during the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said, "Our all-cargo charter flights (domestic and international) remain operational. In fact, since the start of MECQ last Aug. 4 up to Aug. 14, the PAL Group (PAL and PALex) has flown 156 all-cargo charters (domestic and international)."

From March to July,  all - cargo charter flights (domestic and international) totaled 640. 

"Our cargo route network covers the entire country and the key cities of the world. Despite the pandemic, Philippine Airlines continues to transport highly essential cargo so these may reach those in need. Our cargo teams in the Philippines and all over the globe remain on workmode 24/7," Villanueva said.

Regular domestic flights to and from Manila are suspended due to MECQ, she said.
